Adventure Chat #9 - Local Adventures

img_8044.jpg

When I began participating in Twitter chats I loved the amount of interacting and great information I was seeing. I also noticed that most chats were about travel. While I love traveling, I am more of an adventure junkie and enjoy local activities like camping and hiking and the occasional road trip. So, I started my own Twitter chat called #adventurechat on Monday’s at 10 am pst. It’s a fun and informative way for me to learn from everyone else’s adventures. I’ve had more than one person ask me for a blog transcript so here we go. I’ve taken out all retweets and responses that are confusing as well as putting all Q and A’s in order. While the pictures were beautiful I do not have the right to include them here but they are all a part of the full transcript on Travelogx.com. For the ninth chat, I wanted to talk about local adventures. Many people think adventures are only for traveling but every city has it's own charm and fun to be found. I loved learning about everyone's local adventures and getting traveling tips for going there.  Here are the questions and transcripts from that chat.

QUESTIONS:

1. Where is local for you?

2. Do you adventure locally or only when you're traveling?

3. Do you tend to stick to your favs or mix it up and try new things?

4. Museums? Beach? Restaurants? Hiking? What kind of local adventures do you take?

5. What is the one thing every tourist must do in your city?

6. What is your favorite (maybe slightly unknown) local adventure?

7. What's the one local adventure you haven't done yet that you would like to?

8. Where do you get your local adventure ideas? Word of mouth? Groupon? Instagram? Twitter?

9. What do you love about local adventures?

BONUS: Share a photo of your city or a cool adventure you did in it.
